Kenlys Otten, is the Pastry Chef/ Owner at Cake Sugar World, she developed a sense of creativity through sweet experiences, mostly regarding to the taste of something artistically and deliciously elaborated in her early years of life.
Kenlys studied law in Venezuela and moved to USA when she was 21.
She has a degree in Interior Design and Architectural drafting, and yet her passion has remained in the kitchen all the time, in which she cultured to be an amazing cook… "Is the only place where I can be myself, and where I have no doubts, it just flows naturally through my veins, my NIRVANA! "She exclaimed.
Kenlys mainly self-taught all her pastry and baking knowledge at the very early stage of her life by reading recipe books and practicing along with ingredients. She baked and sold tons of cakes to friends and neighbors back in Venezuela when she was just a teenager. Later, she enrolled in some pastry courses and gathered better techniques. At that time, she started feeling more confident about decorating wedding cakes using fondant and gum paste. In 2010, she joined The Art Institute of Colorado to perfect her skills as a Cake artist, in the Baking and Pastry Program at the culinary school. Her vision has always been in having a business where she can offer a fusion of all the different sweet flavors around the world, including her own birth Country Venezuela, and that's how Cake Sugar World emerged.
